Branding, Jewelry Design, Personal Project
Being launched in August 2020, ĒC was a personal project in which I builded a small brand. In this project, I designed and made earrings using Polymer Clay, photographed and promoted the project on Instagram, a social media platform as a marketing practice. This project has given me space to explore product design as well as demonstrating different social and everyday topics which are reflected in each earrings collection.
The logo was inspired by the easily shaped or molded feature of polymer and the imagery of an ear. The two color schemes demonstrate different concepts I want to convey within an earrings collection.
“Unspoken Judgements” collection was about the insecurity, unconfident feeling that one might face due to the judgements of others people based on the appearance, race or identity. This earrings collection discovers into types of responses or feelings that the victims have, namely sorrow, ignorance, or anger.
Getting inspired by the tropical climate in Vietnam, “A Summery Fall” collection represents the fall season in Vietnam which is as hot as summer. Having both warm color scheme of fall season and the imageries of summer, such as ice-cream, rain, sun and UV rays.
Celebrating the Mid-autumn festival, as known as Full Moon festival in Vietnam, “Full Moon” collection was designed. This collection recaptures all the iconic imageries of this festival: beautiful night sky, dazzling stars, clouds and the bright full moon.
The project was promoted mainly on Instagram platform with a separate account. I photographed the products, created visual posts, contents as well as brainstorming, planning the marketing process for the account during the project's time-span.
